Have you ever wanted to experience the thrill of racing but thought it required too much time, expertise or money? Thanks to the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA), it’s easy to make your racing dreams a reality. The Thruxton Cup TransAtlantic Challenge is the perfect opportunity to get on the track and experience the thrill of road racing.
It takes less than a week to begin competing with other Triumph owners in this fun and challenging series. All you need to do is make a few simple modifications to your Thruxton so it’s track ready, purchase an AHRMA membership and the appropriate riding gear, and complete AHRMA’s Road Race rider-certification course at the beginning of that weekend’s races. The modifications are so minimal – removing lights and adding a safety wire to some fasteners and a belly pan – that you can quickly convert your bike back to street use after the weekend.
It’s a fun, easy and cost-effective way to enjoy your Thruxton at some of the most thrilling race courses in the country, including: Barber Motorsports Park, Daytona International Speedway, Miller Motorsports Park, Road America, Virginia International Raceway, Willow Springs and New Orleans’ new NOLA Raceway.
Visit AHRMA’s website for complete details, and don’t forget to “like” Thruxton Cup on Facebook for series updates and information. Our friends at the Thruxton Cup would also love to hear from you – reach out with questions to email@example.com.
