Jason DiSalvo has always been a fast learner. After being introduced to motorcycle racing by his father, Jim, at the age of 4, DiSalvo quickly proved he had what it took to win. He notched his first flat track national championship at the age of 13. A year later, in 1999, he made the jump to Grand Prix racing, winning the WERA National 125 GP championship, the AMA 125 Grand National Championship and the AMA 250 Grand National Championship all in the same year. In fact, Jason won over half of the races he entered in 1999.
Not content to race just in the U.S., DiSalvo competed internationally in the British, European and Spanish 125 GP series. Proving his homegrown talents translated to the world stage, Jason racked up two wins in the 2000 British 125 Championship, at the time becoming the youngest American ever to race in an FIM sanctioned 125 Grand Prix race.
DiSalvo returned to the U.S. in 2002 to race in the AMA 750 Superstock series, winning one race and finishing fifth overall. In 2004, he won two more Superstock races plus brought home two wins in the Supersport class. Since then he's added even more AMA race wins to his resume, including the 2011 Daytona 200.
In 2012, DiSalvo competed in one of the most thrilling Daytona 200s ever, closing a 26-second gap in 25 laps aboard his Latus Motors Racing Castrol Triumph to draw even with the race leaders. On the final lap, he set up for the winning pass but ultimately finished second by mere thousandths of a second. He went on that year to win three pole positions and the second race at Infineon Raceway.
DiSalvo returns to the AMA Pro Racing Daytona SportBike series with Latus Motors Racing and the all-new 2013 Castrol Triumph Daytona 675R.
